Description: Five flat flowers on one 61-cm inflorescence; dorsal sepal round, apiculate, recurved on basal margin, light green overlaid burgundy, striped darker burgundy; synsepal ovate, apiculate light green overlaid burgundy, striped green, burgundy; petals lanceolate, light green, striped and maculated burgundy basally, saturated purple burgundy apical two thirds, ciliate basally; pouch light green overlaid cordovan, veined darker cordovan; staminode terete, curved downward, light green, hirsute, hairs burgundy; substance medium; texture satiny; due to a miscommunication the plant was removed prior to photography, the photos were taken 17 days after the award was granted. |
